Our Story..
Why I Created Cue The Moment
When I started planning my wedding in 2025, I confidently decided I would DIY the music.
A playlist, a phone, done. Right?
LOL… wrong. The saga began.
I quickly realized music apps don’t have any fading capabilities — which meant someone would have to awkwardly turn the volume knob during every special moment. A budget bride fade, if you will. Then I discovered that most speaker rentals were massive, confusing, required DJ boards, or had to stay plugged in. With only a short setup window at our venue, the whole thing felt like a logistical nightmare.
So we pivoted. We shifted the budget (RIP wedding video) and hired a DJ. It worked, but it still wasn’t what we envisioned. Some must-play songs were skipped, the emcee script wasn’t followed, and our coordinator had to step in more than once to keep things on track.
After the wedding, I talked to other couples and heard the same thing again and again:
“They played a song on my DO NOT PLAY list.”
“They opened the dance floor with the wrong song.”
“They didn’t follow the script we gave them.”
So I built Cue The Moment.
It’s a better way to DIY your wedding music. You plan your flow, upload your songs, and tap “next” when the moment comes. The app handles the fades and timing so everything feels seamless. And if you need sound too, you can rent our audio kit with high-quality Bluetooth speakers and wireless microphones — setup takes just minutes.
